We are offering self-guided and facilitator-led simulations for you to experience what life is like through a different lens. Great for students, parents, and teachers.

All presentations, hall of fame, student work in coloring how they feel their brains work, recommended reading and our podcast are all included here

Simulation Experiences

Dyslexia

Experience the challenge of learning to associate sound with print images in this mini-simulation of some of the common decoding challenges of dyslexia.


How fast will you read?

Dysgraphia

Try your hand at writing while experiencing some of the challenges associated with dysgraphia.


How neat will your handwriting be?

Virtual Reality

Take a few minutes to experience a Virtual Reality simulation for the following:


  • Attending a Party- an autism perspective
  • Inside Anxiety
  • Classroom- an ADHD perspective

Group Simulation

We will bring a group of together in the role of students with learning differences. Participants will experience some of the challenges that neurodiverse students manage every day.


How will you do?

Self-Guided Simulations


Stop by the PTA Café Conference Room anytime to try a self-guided simulation. Each experience will take about 15 minutes. There are three different experiences to choose from. Facilitators will be available to assist you. No sign-up is required


Monday: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Tuesday 9:00am - 10:30am

Tuesday: 12:30pm - 2:00pm

Friday: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Facilitator-led Group Simulations


Participate in guided simulations with other attendees during these scheduled time. These sessions will be led by Facilitator Mia Jattuso


Monday: 3:15pm - 4:15pm

Tuesday 3:15pm - 4:15pm

Tuesday: 11:30am - 12:30pm

Friday: 3:15pm - 4:15pm

meet our Facilitator . . .

Mia Jattuso has 20 years experience working with companies to educate and grow the skills of their employees. Her experience spans Adult Education, Assessment, Skills Development, Leadership Coaching, Facilitation and Learning Experience Design. Mia is a certified Facilitator and Master Trainer with experience designing experiential workshops in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion space. Mia’s experiences make her a perfect teacher for parents - who learn very differently from kids!


Mia is a proud Mom to a neurodiverse family. She and her husband Chris are SAS Parents and always learning on this parenting journey...

We are a parent-led group, we champion differentiated learning for diverse learning needs and empower each other with insights and experiences.
